Next, you pass into Beverleysundet, which was previously explored in 1898 by the Swedish-Russian Arc-of-Meridian Expedition. From here, head east around Scoresby Island into Rijpfjord, where the German Wehrmacht ran the meteorological station Haudegen (no longer accessible) until September 1945. The plan at Zorgdragerfjord is to have one group walk the eastern coast while the other traverses the north side of Arkvatnet, across Havsuldalen, to the entrance of Duvefjorden.
